Our Full Council meeting on Tuesday (13 May) is a significant one. It marks the end of the Mayor’s term of office and the confirmation of Cabinet positions. Most years this follows local elections but as this year was a ‘fallow year’, none were held.

The Mayor of Solihull will be lighting the beacon at Elmdon Park on Thursday 8 May, while other commemorative events will also be taking place in different corners of Solihull.

Audiences returned to The Core Theatre’s auditorium for the first time in 20 months as local acts and comedian Jasper Carrott took to the stage for a sold-out variety show.

Next week is West Midlands Retrofit Action Week (10 – 18 May 2025) – and there are lots of events and virtual workshops offering information and advice on how to update homes and make them more energy efficient.
