How you can let us know about the anti-social and dangerous use of off-road bikes.

If you believe life is in danger caused by people riding off-road bikes, please call the police on 999.

Know the law

If you own or ride a motorbike or off-road motorbike it is your responsibility to know the law.

It is illegal to ride any motorbike in public open spaces such as:

  • parks
  • play areas
  • pavements

It is illegal to ride an off-road motorbike on the road. Off-road bikes can only be ridden legally on private land with the landowner’s permission. 

Report off-road bikers

We are working with Solihull Community Housing and West Midlands Police to deal with the problems caused by off-road bikes.

This includes:

  • quad bikes
  • scramblers
  • mini-motos
  • go-peds

If you see illegal off-road bikers in your area, please let us know.

What you should do

You can help our investigation by keeping a record of:

  • the location and times when off-road biking is taking place
  • the type of off-road bike
  • the riders clothing
  • if the rider is wearing a helmet
  • the age of the rider
  • the name and address of the rider if you know it
