If you believe life is in danger caused by people riding off-road bikes, please call the police on 999.
Know the law
If you own or ride a motorbike or off-road motorbike it is your responsibility to know the law.
It is illegal to ride any motorbike in public open spaces such as:
- parks
- play areas
- pavements
It is illegal to ride an off-road motorbike on the road. Off-road bikes can only be ridden legally on private land with the landowner’s permission.
Report off-road bikers
We are working with Solihull Community Housing and West Midlands Police to deal with the problems caused by off-road bikes.
This includes:
- quad bikes
- scramblers
- mini-motos
- go-peds
If you see illegal off-road bikers in your area, please let us know.

What you should do
You can help our investigation by keeping a record of:
- the location and times when off-road biking is taking place
- the type of off-road bike
- the riders clothing
- if the rider is wearing a helmet
- the age of the rider
- the name and address of the rider if you know it
