On 26 July, a men was sentenced at Birmingham Magistrates Court after pleading guilty to a charge of fly tipping, following an investigation by Regulatory Services.
Mr Daniel Bagley, 27 of Main Road in Tamworth, pled guilty and was required to pay a fine of £1169, as well as £400 in compensation.
This was after an incident between Friday 24 February 2023 and Sunday 26 February 2023, when fly tipping occurred on Chester Road in Castle Bromwich, near to Castle Bromwich Hall Gardens.
Mr Bagley had arranged to collect waste from another householder through his waste removal company Dbaggerz, with the waste consisting of domestic household waste including cardboard boxes, toys, a stair gate and children’s clothing.
Documents related to an address in Birmingham were found within the waste, which located the householder who had arranged for Mr Bagley to collect and dispose of the waste.
A Solihull Council spokesperson said: “Solihull Council is committed to prosecuting anti-social crime such as fly-tipping to the fullest extent.
“Keeping our streets clean has and continues to be a priority, to make Solihull a safe and pleasant area for people to live and work in.
“We’re pleased that this fine has been issued and that fly-tipping cases are taken seriously.
