Staff at Chelmunds Court care home have been congratulated by the Solihull councillor in charge of adult social care for their GOOD inspection rating from the Care Quality Commission.
The 73 bed care home on Pomeroy Way, Chelmsley Wood is run by Runwood Homes. It provides personal and nursing care to older people, especially those who are living with dementia.
Cllr Tony Dicicco, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care and Health, paid tribute to the team at Chelmunds Court: “This GOOD inspection rating across all areas demonstrates how hard the staff and manager have been working to deliver high standards of care for residents and keep them safe."
He continues: “The inspection report highlights feedback from residents’ families who describe the manager and staff as ‘fantastic’, and from staff who talk about the positive impact of the manager, Geraldine. Families also commented on the low turnover of staff, showing how Runwood Homes value staff and support them to develop a career in care.”
Jeremy Richardson, Chief Executive of Runwood Homes, said: "We were delighted to welcome Cllr Dicicco to Chelmunds Court, and to see the home's achievements celebrated by the local community.
“We will continue to support the Home Manager, Geraldine, and her dedicated team, to ensure they can provide the best service for our residents."
Inspectors visited the home in August 2022 and gathered feedback from residents, their families and staff as well as reviewing care records.
