Drop-in sessions to share views about adult social care

Released:

Solihull Council is inviting residents to share their views about adult social care at drop in sessions in Touchwood and Chelmsley Wood Shopping Centre.

Adult social care staff will be at Touchwood Shopping Centre (between Next and Paperchase) on Wednesday 7 September from 9am to 5pm.  And at Chelmsley Wood Shopping Centre (lower mall outside Asda) on Friday 9 September from 9am to 1pm.

Councillor Tony Dicicco, cabinet member for Adult Social Care and Health, explains why it’s important to get involved. “Over the summer we’ve had a survey running to gather views on our new five year plan for adult social care. These drop in sessions are another way that people can give us feedback.

He continues: “We want to make sure the new plan includes what matters to the people we support, their carers and families, our staff, NHS and voluntary sector partners.  I would encourage anyone with an interest in adult social care to drop by and talk to us.”

Paper copies of the plan and survey are also available in our libraries and Community Advice Hubs.

The final plan will be published in the autumn.
