Local elections for Solihull Council are coming up on Thursday 2 May.
Details of candidates who are up for election in each ward are now available on the Council website.
Make sure you’re registered to vote by Tuesday 16 April – details on how to do this can be found on the Government website. If you have voted previously and you haven’t moved home, then you don’t need to re-register.
Elections are also taking place on the same day for the West Midlands Combined Authority Mayor and West Midlands Police & Crime Commissioner.

Voters need to make sure to bring photo ID to the polling station, for a list of valid IDs see here. If you don’t have one of these forms of ID you can apply for a free voter ID document, known as a Voter Authority Certificate by Wednesday 24 April at 5pm.
If you are unable to attend the polling station in person, you can apply for a postal vote or proxy vote. The deadline to apply for a postal vote is Wednesday 17 April at 5pm and the deadline to apply for a proxy vote is Wednesday 24 April at 5pm.
