With the roadmap underway and the hospitality sector reopening after a turbulent year, what better time to officially launch the new Visit Solihull website!
Visit Solihull is set to become the ‘go to’ place for all things Solihull - whether you are local or visiting. The website supports local businesses by showcasing the all the fantastic bars, restaurants, events, parks and things to do in Solihull. The site features everything from Solihull Summerfest - which attracts visitors from around the world - to local history.
With English Tourism Week approaching, the team will be focusing on where to stay, what to do, where to eat and where to shop in Solihull. And coming up, there are plans for a photography competition giving Solihull residents and visitors the opportunity to be a part of local history – see @visit_solihull
Solihull Council’s Cabinet Member for Leisure, Tourism and Sport, Cllr Joe Tildesley, said:
“Visit Solihull is packed full of information. It really is going to be the first place to head to if you want to know what to see and do in Solihull. It is also going to give a real boost to local businesses who have been hard hit but who remain undeterred by the last year. I think we all know Solihull is a great place to live in and visit, but the website will open your eyes to even more reasons to come here! I’d urge everyone to get behind this, visit the website and follow us on social media.”
Chair of the Solihull Tourism Forum, Nicola Corfield, added:
“The Visit Solihull website brings together everything that our fantastic borough has to offer in one central site. It showcases our establishments to eat, stay and shop as well as our numerous tourist attractions. There's a section for What's on, so that you can keep abreast of our exciting events and as well as one for business visitors to our region. With the recent lifting of some of the lock down restrictions and the Commonwealth Games next year it is the perfect time to launch the Visit Solihull website to highlight Solihull to the world.”
