Parking enforcement suspended over Christmas and New Year

Released:

Solihull Council has announced that it will again be suspending parking enforcement in residential areas over the Christmas and New Year period.

Parking enforcement is suspended from 7am on Monday 23 December 2024 to 7am on Friday 3 January 2025 when enforcement will resume as normal.

Parking relaxation applies to roads subject to single yellow line restrictions only. People should continue to park considerately and safely and continue to comply with the Highway Code.

Councillor Ken Hawkins, Solihull Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment and Infrastructure, said: “We’ve taken the decision to suspend parking enforcement in residential areas over the Christmas and New Year period as we want to give local people who are visiting friends and relatives peace of mind while they enjoy their Christmas celebrations. But please do continue to park considerately so that everyone can have a safe and happy time over the festive season.”
