The Mayor of Solihull, Mrs Diana Holl-Allen MBE, is proud to welcome the return of the Mayor’s Charity Ball in April 2024.
The ball will be taking place on Friday 19 April 2024 at Hogarths, Dorridge.
The previously annual tradition returns for the first time since 2020. This year’s ball also commemorates 70 years of the Mayoral role in Solihull. This platinum year event offers each guest a three-course meal and a glass of fizz on arrival, accompanied by live music entertainment.
Funds raised will go towards the Mayoral charities for 2023/24, Marie Curie Hospice and British Heart Foundation, both of whom will have guest speakers in attendance at the event to discuss their vital work.
Tickets are priced at £65 per guest - to purchase tickets, contact mayor@solihull.gov.uk or call 0121 704 6023.
The Mayor said,
“It is with great excitement that I announce my Charity ball. It is wonderful that after a four-year hiatus we are able to hold this fantastic event again. Marie Curie and British Heart Foundation are essential charities which continuously help people in need. I’m proud to support them and am privileged to hold an event to raise funds for them. I look forward to sharing a splendid night at a wonderful venue with residents of Solihull.”
Rachel Nash, Marie Curie Deputy Head of Fundraising for Midlands said,
“We rely on fundraising and public donations so that our nurses and healthcare professionals can provide expert hospice care, whatever the illness, in the comfort of home or at our hospice in Solihull.
Over the next five years Marie Curie aims to double the number of people across the UK being cared for and supported in homes, its hospices and through our free information and support services so we are very grateful to The Mayor of Solihull for choosing us as one of the charities to benefit from her fundraising efforts in 2024.”
Balvinder Kaur, British Heart Foundation Partnership/Fundraising Manager said,
"We are thrilled and deeply honoured to be selected as the Mayor's Charity for this prestigious Charity Ball. This endorsement not only recognises the importance of our mission, but also highlights the collective commitment to making a positive impact on saving lives. With one in three people affected with heart disease, the Charity Ball provides a remarkable platform to amplify our cause. We are excited to work alongside the Mayor to raise awareness and bring about lasting change through vital pioneering research. Together, we can: Stop heart attacks and strokes, cure heart failure and end sudden cardiac death.”
