People looking for social care jobs working with children and families can now visit a new website: www.solihullcarejobs.co.uk.
The website showcases what it’s like to work for Solihull Council, the wide range of benefits on offer, and the variety of areas to work in – all in one place.
Prospective candidates can sign up via the website to receive updates on roles they might be interested in, enabling the service to be in touch with people who have shown an interest in working with the Council.
Finding the right people to work in this sector can be challenging, as Solihull Council’s Cabinet Member for Children and Education, Cllr Michael Gough, explains: “Our children’s services are on an improvement journey. Part of this journey involves trying to recruit and retain experienced people with a commitment to excellence to work within the service, in particular social care.
“It’s about finding the right people who can help shape the future together with us. A future that we are facing as a strong, supportive team.
“We are looking for people who are committed to providing better outcomes for children and young people in Solihull. In return, we offer flexible working, a good benefits package and one of the highest salaries for social work in the region.
“We hope that having a wealth of information on the website about what it’s like to work for us and targeting people through our supporting digital campaign, will encourage people to join us.”
The first phase of the campaign has been focused on recruiting social workers, however, other jobs involving working with children and families are also on the website.
People can view the website here www.solihullcarejobs.co.uk and are encouraged to share with family and friends who may be interested in working for Solihull Council.
