Tomorrow (Tuesday 10 October) is World Homeless Day – which gives people the opportunity to find out how to help people who are homeless and where to get help if you or someone you know is faced with homelessness.
On Tuesday 10 October, from 10:30am until 2:30pm, Solihull Council is holding a free drop-in session at the Three Trees Community Centre* in Chelmsley Wood.
The event is aimed at people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, who can find out what support is out there for them and build up their networks and knowledge.
Councillor Mark Parker, Cabinet Member for Housing, said: “As we mark this World Homeless Day in Solihull, I hope that those who need support are able to come along to the Three Trees and make initial contact with those services that can provide them with help and advice.
“As always, I would ask that people continue to report anyone who they think is sleeping rough to StreetLink, the national reporting system. This information is vital for our outreach team and ensures that we can find the people that need our help. Let’s continue to work together to help homeless people.”
*The Three Trees Community Centre is located on Hedingham Grove, B37 7TP
