Every two years Solihull Council conducts a resident perception survey to ask people about how satisfied they are with Solihull as a place to live. The last survey was carried out in October 2022 and was called the Solihull Place Survey.
Interviews will be undertaken:
- 3-28 February 2025
- Up to 8.30pm
- Over the telephone and face-to-face on the street in selected locations
Other information about the survey
- Taking part in the survey is voluntary
- Those participating in the survey can choose to take part in a prize draw to win an online gift card worth £100 or three runner prizes worth £50
What company is delivering the survey on behalf of Solihull Council?
- Enventure Research is undertaking the survey
- The interviewer will introduce themselves and say they are working for Enventure Research on behalf of Solihull Council to ask residents to participate in the Solihull Perception Survey
- Enventure Research and their interviewers abide by the Market Research Society Code of Conduct and the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
- In some cases, Enventure Research may call using a withheld number
What personal information will be asked?
- Age (age brackets), gender and ethnicity - this is so Enventure Research can speak to a sample of Solihull residents that is reflective of the local population
- Postcode - you not have to provide this to participate in the survey, however, if you do provide consent, it will be passed onto Solihull Council so we can undertake analysis by area
- Name, telephone number and email address - providing these are voluntary and will only be used to either re-contact you for quality checking purposes or to contact winners of the prize draw. These details will not be passed onto Solihull Council and will be deleted within one month of the survey finishing
What questions are being asked in the survey?
Your views on your local area, including how satisfied you are, the activities available, how safe you feel, community connections and belonging and volunteering
How long will it take?
Approximately 15 minutes
What happens with the answers provided?
The results of the survey are anonymised, assigned to broad age groups and three sub-borough locality areas and helps Solihull Council to formulate policies and services that are responsive to residents’ needs
How did Enventure Research obtain a residents’ telephone number?
- Telephone numbers are sought from reputable companies. They provide Enventure Research with telephone numbers where consent has been provided for contacting that number for market research purposes
- If you are registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS), this is to only stop marketing cold calls, and does not apply to market research
