Love Your Clothes

Love Your Clothes

Every year, an estimated 336,000 tonnes of used clothing goes to landfill in the UK.

Making small changes to the way we buy, use and dispose of our clothing can help to reduce waste, save ourselves money, and help the environment. It’s in direct contrast to the concept of ‘fast fashion’ which often appears in the news alongside headlines of exploited workers and excessive waste.

Love Your Clothes was a national campaign which ran between 2014 and 2023 and aimed to raise awareness of the value of clothes and encourage people to make the most of the clothes they already have.

Although the campaign has now ended, we can all continue to play our part. This could include buying less, buying pre-loved or second hand, renting or borrowing from others, repairing or reusing items of clothing, or donating or selling your clothing.
