Communication is the foundation of all life skill. The development of a child child’s communication ability has an impact on their learning, school performance and employment prospects as well as on their emotional wellbeing and behaviour.
Regular (usually termly but may be more frequent as required) multidisciplinary reviews are needed to share information, review progress, evaluate support strategies and interventions and make appropriate refinements.
Making reasonable adjustments to the classroom environment can make a significant difference for children or young people with social communication needs.
