Early help and family support

Family Helpline

The Family Helpline is a free phone line for families and professionals in Solihull to access support for parents and children.

The number is 0121 788 4327 and is available between Monday to Thursday from 09:00am to 4:30pm, and Friday at 09:00am to 4:00pm.

A dedicated team of duty workers will be able to provide advice on Early Help topics, ranging from parenting guidance and child development, school attendance and help with completing Early Help plans.

Support also involves signposting to local services such as:

  • the Solihull Family Hubs
  • managing child behavioural issues
  • ensuring health and emotional wellbeing needs are being met
  • referring parents to Family Support Workers

The service comes as part of Children’s Services’ Early Help support designed to address issues before they escalate further.

For safeguarding concerns, such as if a child is at risk of being harmed, please call the Solihull Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) on 0121 788 4300.

Family Information Service
